Innovative SR-150 and SR-250 Remotes Offer Improved Usability and Overall Functionality

Control 4Control4, the leader in affordable IP-based home control and entertainment systems, today announces the addition of the Control4(R) SR-150 and SR-250 Remotes, which will make their official debut at the 2008 CEDIA Expo. Both remotes feature improved system usability and function visibility while delivering a consistent, high-quality home automation experience in a new innovative industrial design.

"The advancements in our new remote designs reflect our continued dedication to improving home automation usability," said Will West, Chief Executive Officer of Control4. "Control4 is committed to enhancing our system usability continuously improving the ease and simplicity in our users lives."

The new remotes replace the existing Control4 remote that currently ships with Control4(R) Home Controllers. The SR-150 Remote will ship with Control4's new Home Controller HC-200 (which is also being unveiled at CEDIA). The SR-250, which includes an OLED screen, will ship with the Control4 flagship controller the HC-300 and the HC-500, which includes a hard drive and more inputs/outputs for home theater. Features of the new remotes include:

-- Both remotes use ZigBee radios freeing the user from line of sight requirements for control, which make it possible to access Control4 from anywhere in the home.
-- The SR-250 provides a fully back-lit keypad and an OLED screen 40% larger than the previous remote.
-- Both remotes include an intelligent motion-sensing system that "wakes" the remote when picked up, turning on the back and screen lights on the SR-250 and making the remote easier to read.
-- Both remotes also include a beeper function to help the user find a lost remote.

"The improved functionality and design of the new remotes creates an opportunity for Control4 dealers like me to deliver an improved user experience to our current customers," Mike Wilson, Bethesda System. "These remotes are another example of how Control4 is quickly becoming the go-to home automation solution for homeowners."

The Control4(R) Remote SR-250 will ship in October 2008 at a suggested retail price of $199 and will be bundled into the HC-300 and HC-500. The Control4(R) Remote SR-150 is expected to debut with the HC-200, which is expected to ship in November of 2008. The stand alone SR-150 will ship by the end of 2008 at a suggested retail price of $129.
